Alexandra Zarins Rolls is an emerging artist from the UK. She studied Fine Art at the University of Edinburgh before her passion for portraiture drew her to Florence to hone her skills at the Charles H. Cecil studios. She works predominantly in oils. Rolls is currently based in New York, and is in her second and final year of the MFA Painting program at the New York Academy of Art.
I am fascinated by the human figure and the psychology of portraiture. I draw inspiration from the old masters and reflect and respond to the figure in the context of the modern world.
