Artist Statement

As a visual artist and photographer from Bangladesh, my work explores the human condition amid environmental and social hardship. Growing up in coastal Bangladesh, I witnessed, firsthand, the devastating impact of floods, pollution, and displacemen. These experiences continue to shape my artistic purpose.

Through photography, I aim to tell the stories behind the headlines, focusing on themes of solitude, resilience, and quiet human strength. My images often highlight communities affected by climate change and overconsumption, portraying both their vulnerability and enduring spirit.

My work is a call to engage compassionately with our world’s most urgent challenges—environmental degradation, social injustice, and displacement—while also recognizing the shared resilience that binds us.

With over 150 international awards and features in The Guardian, National Geographic, and Forbes, I remain committed to using photography as a bridge for understanding, dialogue, and change.
